Back to school already? Whether you are ramping up for home studies this year or prepping your kids to be back in the classroom, your school list is likely to have a few changes. Here are a few must have items to set those students up for success:

Insulated Water Bottles

Water fountains have been turned off in most schools for the year and your kids will need a great way to stay hydrated. Invest in a nice insulated bottle to keep their drinks cold throughout the day.

Headphones

Online presentations, videos, and tutorials are something to expect for everyday tasks this year. Take your kids shopping to find something that fits their head well to provide long-lasting comfort during their school day.

Dishwasher safe lunch boxes

2020 has brought out the germaphobe within all of us. To make sure your kids are staying healthy, pack their lunches in a dishwasher safe case to clean effectively each day.

Infrared thermometer

This is a necessity for every household! Long gone are the days of sticking a thermometer in your mouth. With a quick push of a button, an infrared thermometer will determine whether anyone in your family is holding a fever. Better keep some chicken soup on hand for this one as well!

Wifi router

While we realistically want this one to make sure our weekend Netflix binges don’t run into any hiccups, online classrooms are also dependent on a strong wireless signal. It might be time to take a look at the device in your home to see if you need an upgrade. Determine the size of your home and test the signal in each room! There are plenty of options available varying in different price ranges.

Electronic Notebook

If your school district has decided to maintain a “school from home” policy for the beginning of this school year, you may need to look around for an extra laptop (so yours doesn’t disappear 10 minutes before a zoom call). The main difference between an electronic notebook and a laptop is going to be the storage space and processing power. If you are on a budget but need a computer for your students in class, a notebook will get the job done. All you need it to pair it with an external hard drive to save those bigger projects too!

While the new school year will feel different to most students, each of them will feel better equipped and prepared with a few of these essentials.
