How to Accessorize with Winter Jewelry

We dress for the weather and cold season is upon us! Just because you’re bundled up under scarves and coats during the winter doesn’t mean you have to forego accessorizing with some fun jewelry! Here are a few fun winter trends and tricks to wear this winter season. 

Brooches

Dust off that box of jewelry from your grandma you found in the attic because brooches are back in style! You can pin them to your hat or your hair with the help of a few bobby pins. Or fashion your sweater or jacket with a little extra bling. If you don’t want to wear it, pin it to your bag!

Stud earrings

Big earrings tend to get stuck in scarves, sweaters, hats, etc., but that doesn’t mean you have to skip earrings for the entire winter season! Add a few simple stud earrings to your collection for a modern and elegant look.

Jewel tone colors

The holidays are a great time to wear those more vibrant red and green jewels that have been sitting in the bottom of your drawer all year round. Accessorize a plain sweater or long sleeve shirt with a little extra color!

Long chunky necklaces 

While small-chain necklaces are preferrable in the summertime worn with a simple tee, the thin necklaces tend to get lost and unseen in the winter. Wear your statement jewelry over a sweater to compliment your wardrobe. 

Layer your jewelry

Don’t just layer your clothing this winter. Layer your jewelry too! If you don’t have a large statement necklace, you can layer several different lengths of necklaces to create a fun look. 

Leather watches

Metal is conductive and if you’ve worn a metal watch in the winter, you know how cold it can sit on your wrist. Opt in for a leather band during the cold months for a more comfortable accessory piece.
