January is almost over, the days are getting longer, and that can only mean one thing. Well, it probably means a lot of things but it’s an excellent segue into sports, and in particular, Super Bowl LV. With only a few days left till the Kansas City Chiefs face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, you’re probably all-hands-on-deck with your game day preparations.

But what about furniture? Just as important as snacks, TVs, and sound systems, your furniture can have a huge effect on how (and where) you enjoy the Super Bowl. Read on below for a handful of helpful furniture tips to help you maximize your viewing experience.

Tables

First up we’ve got….tables? Before we get on to the more comfortable additions to your big game setup, we need to discuss the importance these Super Bowl essentials. Yes, we did say essentials. Where else are you going to put your snacks, drinks, feet, phones, other people’s feet during the game?

Coffee tables in particular are an excellent piece to add to your gameday layout. Within reaching distance of whatever it is you need to set down while you celebrate that late game interception, placing a coffee table in a central location gives you (and everyone else) easy access to your food, fuel, and fun.

Chaise Lounge

If you’re not one that’s interested in leaping to your feet every 20 seconds, consider a chaise lounge. Often added as an optional piece to sectionals, you can also find these (amazing) chairs as solo units. One part sofa and one part bed, chaise lounges offer an exquisitely relaxing gameday experience.

Aptly named, the chaise lounge is entirely built with, well, lounging in mind. Lean on your side, sit up against the back, or just lay down; these multi-purpose furniture pieces provide everything you need to enjoy your game. If you’re looking for something especially comfortable, consider a wavy chaise lounge. You won’t regret it.

Rockers

Leaning forward in anticipation, falling back in disappointment, nothing accommodates your constant highs and lows better than a rocker. The question is, do you prefer the reliable support of an old-fashioned wooden rocker, or the enveloping comfort of the classic recliner?

Whichever type is your favorite, rockers can be the go-to for active (and anxious) game watchers. Recliners have the added perk of a built-in footrest, but traditional rockers typically offer better support and superior moveability. If you prefer the comfort of solo-sitting, consider adding a rocker to your Super Bowl lineup.

Sectional

We couldn’t very well talk about chaise lounges and rockers without touching on the pinnacle of game day furniture. Sectionals offer the most in terms of variability and customization, giving you the means to turn the Super Bowl into an entirely personalized experience. From a simple 3-piece set to those truly massive 8, 9, or 10(!) piece additions, including a sectional as part of your game day furniture could be a smart play.

There’s not much more we can say that you don’t already know; sectionals are big, comfy, and easy to set up and move around. If you’re planning on hosting friends for this year’s Super Bowl, a sectional can offer the space you need.
