Cleaning your home is a necessary chore not many of of love doing. It feels like your list of tasks keeps getting longer. And while you always mean to get to those cleaning projects, you never quite have time for them all. Often we’ll get to these cleaning tasks and realize we might not be equipped to handle the work ahead. If you’re looking for a better way to tackle your cleaning checklist, as well as keeping your home clean throughout the year, these excellent tools will help you get started.

MopVac

Vacumop? Mopuum? Whatever you call these, the vacuum/mop combos are a lifesaver when it comes to homes that have both carpeted and bare floors. Instead of swapping between a mop and a vacuum, these units do it all. Seamlessly transition between cleaning stains off your kitchen floor to sucking up all those cracker crumbs under the couch. Trust us, these make your cleaning much, much easier.

Carpet Cleaner

If you have pets, or children, or even just you living in your house chances are you’re going to spill on your carpets. Many of these spills can be cleaned easily if you catch them soon enough. Others (looking at you, pasta sauce) will instantly stain your carpet. Carpet cleaners make quick work of those types of spills. Whether it’s a large unit or a smaller cleaner, having this tool handy is essential for keeping your carpets and rugs looking good as new.

RoboVac

Who loves to vacuum? If you’re one of the eight people who just cheered, you can probably skip this part. For the rest of us, the robovac exists to serve. This versatile cleaning magician has evolved a great deal since it was first released. In addition to being fully programable with runtime, area coverage, and more, some units even mop your floors for you. While they may never hit the levels of cleanliness some good ol’ fashioned elbow grease will, a sense of “I don’t have to vacuum” might just be worth it.

Extendable Duster

Dusting is one of those projects that seems easy until you suddenly realize how many surfaces are gathering dust in your house. While getting your bookshelf clean is a simple enough task, grabbing high ledges, ceiling fans, and other out-of-reach areas require some reach. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. And by we, we mean extendable dusters. They cover more surface area, get in and behind places your hands won’t fit, and are generally a massive improvement over traditional rags. If you don’t love dusting, do you yourself a favor and get an extendable duster. You won’t regret it.

Magic Erasers

Are they magic? Probably not. Do they feel like they are? Absolutely. Imagine you’ve been working on getting a scuff or stain off the floor for days. It’s faded, sure, and you’ve done a pretty good job of allllllmost hiding it. But it’s still there. It knows it. You know it. Your guests will (definitely won’t) know it. That thing needs to come off. And that’s where magic erasers come in handy! Skip the frustration with those pesky stains and use a magic eraser to lift them right off.

The Essentials

Rags, buckets, cleaning solutions, dust spray, furniture polish, and many more items are required to keep that living space fresh and comfortable to live in. Cleaning is sometimes one of those things we keep pushing off because, well, it’s not a lot of fun. And while some of us really do wait until spring to do our cleaning, it’s much better to stay on top of it throughout the year. With these handy tools, your cleaning can be faster, easier, and possibly enjoyable? We’ll get back to you on that last one. Good luck!
